Pretty and Girly

Last night I made this sweet little name garland, whilst watching Most Haunted Live!!! The pink cuteness of the colours helped counteract the super scariness of the tv prog! Well, a little anyway. I'm looking forward to later as I'm throwing a Halloween Party for my 2 little girls and their friends, I had better continue with the party decorations. Happy Halloween!

It's coming...........

Well, it's nearly the end of October, the shops have their Christmas cards and decorations on show, the nights are getting longer and darker and we've had snow already!!! So, what better time to show you some of my Christmas ornies. I am busy sewing my decorations in time for my next Craft Fair on Nov 16th. As you can see, I'm sticking with a red, white and blue theme this season and I'm looking forward to decorating my home in these shades too, right down to the wrapping paper.....I do love a theme. My decorations also have a bit of a gingerbread theme, apart from my g'breadmen (not shown) I wanted a look of 'iced' gingerbread biscuits so have sewn the spotty felt onto plain 'gingerbread' coloured felt. The reverse of my decs are a contrasting colour to that on the front, i.e. my blue spotty star with red details on the front is plain red on the reverse. I've also fallen back in love with my pinking shears! Maddie, nearly 5, liked the little Father Christmas finger puppets best, that and a gingerbread man with pink bow-tie, pink buttons and ribbon........she is my biggest 'pink' inspiration.

Pastel Shades

Hi all. I have recently completed a couple of new garlands, both in pretty pastel shades. I really like how they've turned out.........

Pink is still the colour!

Hi, I posted off a newly finished PINK name garland today. Even though I make so many pink garlands I never get bored, not only because I love pink, but because no two garlands are ever the same. Each one is an original! I hope these garlands become keepsakes for years to come for the recipients.......

Everything's Pink!

I uploaded some new photos to my flickr account this morning and realised there was an awful lot of pink going on! Not that I'm complaining, of course I love making pink things.

I especially enjoy making things that are a little bit different, the Stealing Candy garland was made for a friend's stand at The Baby Show in London at the weekend. I increased the glitter button quota when sewing this little baby and also added silver hues too to match in with her store's theme colours.

I have also been busy sewing a Happy Birthday Garland in shades of pink.

Crazy Critters

Halloween is coming!!!

I love a theme and Halloween gives me the chance to indulge myself in my need for making new creations. These cuties are for a custom order from a lovely repeat customer. I used lots of sparkly black felt along with neon orange and bright pink. Trick or Treat?!

New to this.....

Hello there, I confess that this is my very first blog entry on my blogspot, although some of you may have been following my blog on my own site Well, the aim is to eventually have just the one site...this one!
So, a bit about me, for those not in the know yet. Well, I'm a mum of 2 little girls, Georgie (2) and Maddie (nearly 5). Since having the girls I have devoted pretty much all of my time to them until I rediscovered the delights of crafting! Since 2007, the girls' had an ever growing circle of friends and their siblings, searching for unique, heartfelt birthday gifts was turning into a bit of a chore, until I had a mini-brainwave (they don't occur too often). I decided to make something special for birthday pressies and started of by making a 'T' letter picture for a little boy named Thomas. I found that I really enjoyed the process and found it rather therapeutic. That year all my friends' children received handmade creations from me and have done ever since! At the beginning of this year I took the plunge and formed Heartfelt (a name suggested by a clever friend of mine, particularly as at the time I had been making lots of felt hearts for Valentines). I now have shops on,,, and I love my crafty life and it's opened up a whole new world to me of clever crafty like-minded people. I try and choose handmade now when choosing gifts for friends and family and it makes a real difference to be able to give beautifully crafted gifts made with love, care and attention. Happy crafting!
