I was thinking that the LOVE garland could be made into any word or words, even something more cheeky (I shall leave that up to your own imaginations!).
Bye for now (but not for long, I feel another post coming on....)

I've been working on some girlie items over the last couple of days. A pink name garland, a pink and brown flower corsage and a pink and cream personalised heart..... lots of girliness!
The name garland and the 'K' Heart (with tiny heart) are orders posted out today but the pink, brown and cream corsage is part of my friend's birthday pressie. I think I will make a few more of the corsages, for me!

I've been busy making a few more name garlands, another lemon one (no picture I'm afraid as it didn't come out too good (the photo that is, not the garland!!), a blue padded one and a flat multi-pastel version.......
Tonight I am finishing off a couple more so will post photos soon.
By the way, I don't know about you but I've already started putting up the Valentine's Day decorations!! Will post a photo of my Valentines tree later this week.

As promised here are some (blurry) photos of the latest party favours I've been making. A set of red sequinned hairclips for my friend's little girl who will be 5 in a couple of days, hurrah!
I started making them, thinking I had plenty of sequins, but ended up using them all up and being unable to find any more! So, the final four were made using different red sequins. I had thought the first set I made were more sophisticated and subtle but once I'd made one using the other brighter, brasher, louder cupped sequins I decided I liked them best. I guess I'm just not subtle.....bring on the colour! The blue one I made for Georgie, my youngest. She won't be going to the party as it is strictly for big girls and quite rightly so! This blue one is so she doesn't feel left out, although I'm sure she'd have been happy with some chocolate buttons!! Lol.

This week I posted off a batch of dinosaur badges. They are party favours for a little boy's birthday, I hope they like them, I had to make a couple of extras for my two girls too as they wanted badges of their own!
I'm also finishing off some lovely red sequinned star hairclips for another party so will be posting pictures of them soon.
My week ahead will be filled with name garlands, I have several to make in lots of different colours so I'm looking forward to creating them. I will be trying to fit in a few valentine's bits'n'bobs too. Keep checking back for updates. Have a great week x

Wow, went to bed last night to a fine smattering of falling snowflakes and woke up to a lovely covering of snow all over the garden. The girls couldn't wait to get outside to make a snowman, although, once out there holding snow in their poor little (gloveless) freezing hands they soon changed their minds. Georgie went inside first and watched Maddie & I from the window as we made the world's smallest snowman! Unfortunately my camera battery ran out before I had a chance to take a picture of Snowy, as he was named, it's a shame, he had the biggest carrot nose I've ever seen on such a weeny snowman!!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. I am beginning to feel normal again after a bout of a nasty virus that had me laid up at my parents over the new year, Maddie had it too so poor daddy, nana and gaga and Georgie had to look after us!
I have managed to squeeze in a few makes though to feast your eyes upon... I've made a start with my Valentines collection.
This is a Pocket of Love, a felt envelope that fastens with a snap fastener and has a padded heart on the front. Inside is a 'I'm dotty about you' love heart hanger. It is red with bright pink spots on the front and plain pink on the reverse. I can't get enough of pink and red together, it just works so well, so you will be seeing plenty more.
I made a little purple and lilac heart for one of my daughter's friends, she is 5 soon, so this will be part of her prezzie.
Finally, I have a new 'Happy Birthday' garland to show you, this one has been made with a rainbow ribbon and lots of different colours of felt, designed for anyone, male or female, young or old. This one has actually been posted off to the USA as a future Giveaway on the following site http://www.frugalmommyof2girls.blogspot.com/
In addition I am currently working on some party favours, a set of dinosaur badges and some sequin star hairclips, all to be revealed soon.
I'll keep you posted!!
Now, back to school tomorrow for Maddie and with Georgie starting a new pre-school on Wed I'd better get sorted!
Best wishes to you all for a very happy 2009 xoxo
